Didn't he just buy that item? Why would the attendant send folks lower than Core and Soul Fusion after him to die? Sure they have the numbers but given his wealth and question he asked, he is likely to have other strong attack items that could easily wipe out the group sent even if his personal strength was not high. At least the group sent was too weak given what the attendant already knew. I guess the author slipped up badly on this.
Hasn't it been well over a year since they reached the core formation stage? Have they really not progressed at all in this time frame? It's hard to believe they would progress this slowly. Each stage is supposed to take longer than the last, but these guys have numerous Hax abilities improving their cultivation speed. Does this mean they are going to take over 4 years to reach the fusion stage? Their progress seems slow considering how many advantages they have. We've already seen other young cultivators in their own sect at higher levels than this (such as the two guys who joined them in experience the special pools") Not only that, but these guys are expected to influence the entire empire at some point in the near future. Furthermore, at some point they are expected to literally save the entire universe (two universes actually).
