Up until now, I am still trying to give reasons that what Theodore did for his love for Lucy is the right thing to do...kept thinking what if he had fought for her ... but at least in the end they will have their chance...

Theo has never known love. He has only ever known lust and shady People. You can’t judge him for not knowing what he should do. He made Calhoun a promise too! He wouldn’t even be able to see Lucy if he didn’t keep his promise.

I can understand his hesitation. He’s a good looking, fully grown and experienced man. She’s barely a woman, with zero experience in how the world (and men) works. Any man worth his salt should be certain of his intentions before taking THAT plunge.

I’m not convinced at this point that Theo is that attracted to Lucy...will he fall in love with her or does he just see it as a fling & she ends up feeling led on??? I can’t put my finger on it, but there was a lot of animosity from Lucy towards Theo in volume 1 & I can’t wait to find out why.
