Poor Lucy, her mother’s words have cut her deeply but Samara is so absorbed in her own jealousy, embarrassment & resentment over Calhoun’s arrival, that she is oblivious to her daughter’s feelings. At least Ruby is intuitive & knows Lucy is upset by more than the bee sting. Ruby is a blessing & the one good thing in Lucy’s life. I wonder why the bee sting is affecting Lucy so much considering she is a vampiress?
