Interesting, Indeed!! Calhoun is so Complex, right?? Known: 1) Constance was one heck of a powerful Witch, to cast a Curse to affect all the women Cal's Dad was ever with to be barren. There's where Cal gets Magic. 2) Grand-ma-ma was truly the worst - getting his Mom kicked out, and I presume, being the one to barr her from seeing the King to show him his Son. 3) Cal hated the King, Queen, and G-maw, but must have been open enough -- to accept and LOVE little Lucy as a sister. 4) Theo must have helped him stage the murder of King and Queen to look like attack from other Kingdom. Right hand man, indeed. 5) Dude, Cal must be around 50 years old!! Ho-Ly robbing the Cradle!!

Calhoun’s story is heart-wrenching. 💔 I’m glad Maddie is showing great understanding of what he’s gone through.

Now, Calhoun said what happened to the king, queen and his grandma is from the curse of his mom.. is she a witch or smthg? considering how did Milord has black wings really bothers me. and his prophecy too about destruction

These last 2 chapters have been very eye opening, people can be simple or deeply complex creatures. Either way its a truly enjoyable read

I thought Calhoun seemed sad amd lonely and now we know why. I’m glad that Maddie is there to listen to him as it is good for Calhoun to tell this story to someone after all these years. Love how their relationship is growing.

I love how we are starting to see a little bit of a back story into Calhoun's family. He's opening up more to Madeline, but i wonder if it's part of his ruse to get her closer to him? The curious the better. Ash-chan, will we be able to know Calhoun's true age? How old is Madeline? Thanks again for another great chapter❤ I always look forward to waking up in the morning to read new chapter releases

Ash you are a fantastic writter, these last couple chapters have been amazing. I’m so pleased to read and learn more about Calhoun, Madeline seems to be warming to him too and losing some of her shyness. I can’t wait to read more!

His past is riddled with trauma, ao it would make sense that he falls for a simple girl who wears her emotions and voices her thoughts- he doesnt need more complexities in his life

I think there was a love story between Theo and Lucy too, but her parents must have forced the marriage to her husband on her, and she probably hates Theo for not fighting harder for her.

What a chapter! We went from steamy to heartbreaking. This story needed to be told so Maddy could learn more and he just showed her how much trust he has in her.

It's true what they say about a person being a product of his or her experience. it shows that you cannot really judge a person becos you don't know what made him/ her turn out the way they did. What a sad childhood and sad story.
