Madeline is blooming slowly for Calhoun just like the beautiful rose he pinned on her braided hair, her smile might have intoxicated him too much that he restraint himself from kissing her soft and supple lips though he could sense the slight anticipation in her eyes. Poor Catherine, I think if she made James to meet her father then James might deliberately turn her proposal down, which might give the king a temptation to play soccer with his head which he had anticipated since long.

interesting... I see the kings plan but I feel like it will be months before we see a change in Maddie's feeling... like it would take a near death experience for her to see the king in a different light... it's been little things here and there but nothing significant. Let's not forget dear cousin sister has yet to exact her revenge on maddie stealing the king away... So many possibilities.. so many perspectives... so many ideas of where this story is going...
