Well-well-well... Madeline seems to wonder about him and she doesn't seem to realize this but he's getting closer and closer to her and vice and versa. Her good nature makes her search for the positive and all she has or most she has to look at or think about is Calhoun as he's always the closest. He's extremely smart to use such psychology... She seems to be the romantic one and the one who is caring, yet she's cold to him and blocks him, cock blocks him to be precised. Then he's this brutal and cruel predator, the ultimate authority who actually attempts to be romantic, desirable and loved (in his own way, of course). It is really a good story/book.
