So even before maddie he knew about the situation and tge container, yet with maddies words it is confirmed. So the assistant of head maid must have been used by someone. The man who was thr rival of calhoun is a suspect along with sophies family i feel. Maddie is confronting herself that she doesn't have feelings for king. Interesting.

I really like Calhoun’s approach. He’s believes the servant is innocent but doesn’t want to let the crime go unpunished. So he taken Maddie’s intel and is using it to find the culprit and Maddie has no idea. He’s so subtle and savage about the situation and Maddie is oblivious to what he’s doing. It’s no wonder while Calhoun is king. This guy 😏.

i love how Calhoun is soooo calm and collected...like nothing can faze him....except for Maddie of course...he fits the very definition of a king 👑

Calhoun is an interesting character. Madeline searches for proof to save the servant, so Calhoun starts to look as well. I think she's good for him. She questions the way things are done, which subtly changes him, whether he's aware of it or not. Thank you, Author-san for another entertaining story.

Finally letting Maddie do something on her own accord... and being helpful.. what are we reading again?

happy to know that Calhoun trusted Maddie, he used the clue about the bottle's origin from Maddie. if only Maddie heard what Calhoun said and ordered Theodore, she will be touched.

Reading on my lunch lol I was sad to have to wait, but as always enjoyed each and every word. I love the moment Calhoun takes a drink from her, breaking down each of her ideas on how it would be, such a great moment. As always, thank you for the new chapters.

Calhoun knows the man is innocent but someone has to be punished. At least he has Theo trying to find out the truth. Using what Maddie has told him should make things easier.
