Read the side story and I'm a bit confused. The gift is suppose to be the best and the worst. More then the gift what Nikolai said made me feel like that's the best thing and how she felt was also the good part. However, I couldn't get what was bad about it, other than the fact what the gift was. In Nichole's place, I don't think material gifts would be that great if she didn't have any power to back her.
