this chapter was hilarious 😂 as always of course there isn’t a moment wher Neoma doesn’t crack me. So while I was reading this chapter, I was trying to look for any hints about the Emperor past with the twins mother. Now, we know that the Emperor killed his twin sister right? and all of it because of a curse for twins. According to the Emperor the mother have run away with her lover (the duke older brother sry I forgot his name). However, we notice that the mother and her “lover” tried to run away with the princess not the prince. Only the princess. Why? My theory is that the mother and the other aren’t necessarily in a romantic relationship. But the mother tried to save the princess from the curse (to be killed by her brother) and the Emperor will never understand that from her pov hence running away with the princess.
