Ohhhh..so the emperor didn't save Kiho, he killed all his clan and he "spared" kiho because he is something special. So his memories were altered, I actualy think that his clan and the Fire Mages were allies but because of the betrayal of the Fire Mage they too were exterminated. I guess when the emperor sat on the throne and he knew of the prophecy of a baby going to dethrone him in the future he started a killing spree. Even if Tilly knew about the prophecy it won't really change anything they were still at war. The good thing is that matters is Kiho's additional power that will protect Tilly . I hope the Duke has ace cards up on his sleeve they can't wage war with only themselves even if they have Fire Mages on their back..Author-nim did describe the emperor as a really powerful person.
