We all agree that princess Nia is a b*tch but what if I tell you that there is a greater b*tch in the story. Who and why you might wonder? Here is another theory of mine. Hope you enjoy it 😉. I suspect that the high priest is the greater b*tch than princess Nia and why? - Some people might think that the high priest is one of her men of the mind controlled collection that's why he collabrate with princess Nia but I don't think so. I actually believe he is one manipulating princess Nia and not the other way around 😂. Why do I think so? - Aku once mentioned that Nia and the high priest started meeting up since she was nine or when she had her first period. The high priest knows about all Nia's past lives. This knowledge he used it as an advantage. Maybe Nia does not know about her past lives but only the high priest knowd about it and told her about. He deliberately told her about her first lifetime where she loved someone so dearly that she commited suicide for this person (not telling her that it was in fact past Aku according to my theory that they used to be tragic past lovers and reincarnated as twins). And of course he then intentionly put Aku in a negative light when he recite the other lifetimes where he was an obsessive yandere about her. It's only natural that Nia would long for her past lover but she knew that he was no longer by her side. All she could no think of was at first get rid of Aku because she does not want to be bounded with him. You might think what a wh*re but at some point I also pity her if it is true. Because she has no motivaton to live. The person she loved is no longer in her live and she has an obsessive brother which she does not love as the only person in her heart is her first love. Maleficient once said that all villainesses are in fact princesses who were not saved. Of course it would not be enough to justify her cruel action. Damn, I'm moving away from my original theory which I wanted to intodruce. Now you might wonder why the h*ck is the priest doing this?! Well, I suspect it is greed of power! Think about it the priest know exactly that Aku is obsessed with Nia why not making use of it? Making Nia infertile means no heir for the empire and who else have power beside the emperor, of course the church or the high temple people. Remember they have the power to deternine the date of the wedding of the royal couple. Even Kiho wanted that the high priest determine Tilly and his child. In short, the church has a high position in society. The priest knows that the emperor would never have another woman than Nia so there will be no heir if he helps Nia to become infertile. No heir means more power. The priest know that he never could overpower Aku as he is the strongest mana holder in the empire but he could mentally destroy him! His weakness is Nia! Therefore, the priest badmouths about Aku in front of Nia since she was a child. Manipulating a child is really effective which we for example can see in abandoned empress where Ruve was manipulated since his childhood by Duke Jenna he badmouthed about Tia saying that she is an emotionless doll and greedy for power. Ruve of course believed him. I suspect that in the first lifetime after the execution of Tilly the emperor might have died too later. What was the cause? Heartbreak. The high priest might have revealed everything to him. You might think as if someone would die because of a simple heartbreak. It can be. For instance the novel I don't want to be loved where FL's mother died because of heartbreak because Fl's father does not love her. After his death the position of the high temple icreased in society. Even in real life we all know that the church had a dirty past: * letters of indulgence * The start of baby theft in spain * their role in 2nd World War etc. Therefore, I would not be suprised if the high priest is in fact a dirty douchebag. I was feeling sorry for Aku in chapter 54 for loving Nia but now I know I wasted my sympathy on him. I thought he was good to Kiho and really thought of him as little brother. But no. Kiho is being used and from where the plot is going it looks like Kiho has some power which can kill fire mages. >.<
If Nia can identify Tilly as fire mage then Aku also know it.. It seems the prophecy regarding kiho's son is somewhat related to fire mages and that is the reason Aku brought kiho under his wings and arranged the marriage between kiho and tilly as the royal family is against the fire mages. Every royals, high priest and that sherwood has different selfish reasons to act in this way.
