When The Hunter Turns into the Prey 2

"Die!!" shouted someone from other two remaining teams, as the whole team went to surround the man for an ambush. The three idiots, who heard it immediately went rushing toward the team and tried to stop them, which resulted in a great brawl!

The dark brunette haired man, Gear. Didn't actually understand this whole thing in the first place. Because he was away these past weeks, he isn't aware of the Melee and was uninformed. He was just summoned a hour ago to proceed at the Virtual Field and go to find his respective team which is Aka's, This is the tenth man who hasn't appear at the past match!

"What the F*ck are those guys doing!" Caelan said as he saw the three rushed to save their leader, completely forgetting that they wasn't in the same team. Just how come they still have the guts to protect their captain at this situation?

"Don't worry, they're an idiots" said Cain who is just a post away with his team. When Caelan realized that, he and his team went to attack the nearby team in a speed! What a great moment! Cain who saw this, cursed out. He forget just how cunning this man could be even if they're in the same unit!

The battle emerged just all because of this clueless Gear!

While engage in the explosive scrimmage, suddenly, there is a black out and an explosion explodes! Because of the darkness, no one knows where part of the hallway they hid.

When the light has came back, they found themselves mixed with each others. In their surprise they don't know what to do.

"What the heck are you doing here?!" blurted each and one of them with each other. But aren't this a good thing?

However they found it odd, that explosion was no where to be seen. The hallway remained tact!

Just then, a red warning appeared at the horizon.

"ALARM: THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN DESTROYED"

The warning constantly keep repeating, and they don't know what's that supposedly mean.

This was the virtual world so they isn't able to access at the real world and they don't have their phones! But there is certain fellow whose phone rang, making everyone to look at him. It was Gear.

"what?" he asked as he noticed the stares as he pick up the call.

"This is the General speaking, the virtual field you are currently engaged in is under attack and the system has been hacked. We are already dealing with this matter as fast as possible. If possible stop attacking each other, this time, if you died in the virtual field you will really die for real! This isn't a drill!" said the General loud and clear which make everyone to be stunned.

In just a second, they all understand that their lives is at risk!

"What should we do?" asked Aka as he grab the phone. He is the most composed person in the hallway.

"The system is only able to pull out for about a 22 person" the General relented in disbelief. The sudden attack was something they haven't been expecting. The security was very high and the virtual field was at the Primal Base core, it's impossible to attack it unless someone has entered the virtual field and has hacked inside, there was also a sudden explosion at the system which is the prominent source of the virtual. The system was at a high risk, and probably most of them can't get out.

Aka sighed as he look everyone at the hallway, there were about 25 of them including him. Those who got caught up with the brawl earlier managed to get out. If was only for 22, then three should remain.

"Gear and Caelan, you remain with me here" Aka said straightly

"The rest, you can now leave" he added

"how!?" they all said

"Kill your selves" Aka said further making everyone to get bewildered. That's fun but won't be that painful?

"If you don't, Caelan would shoot everyone of you" Aka added. Everyone didn't hesitate but to kill their selves, this is only a virtual reality after all, and this is a given chance from the Austere Captain for them to escape and like heck they would want to die at Caelan's hands!

Mato, Fargo, and Xie looked at their Captain Gear for a second in hesitation. This is the first time in a while to meet him yet their encounter was in dire.

"Go, this won't take long" said Gear with a reassurance smile. Truth to be told, Gear might be a fearsome person, just second to Aka in the military, however, he is kind , and his members come first before him. The three didn't said anything further and did as they were said to.

When the General and the rest saw that 22 soldiers came out from the hacked virtual field, they immediately went to rescue. They are doing their might to get rid of it and to find the culprit behind this as fast as possible.

Only Aka, Gear and Caelan was left.

"I wouldn't never felt the same way for my captain" whispered Caelan toward Gear who just laughed in response, showing his cute dimples.

"So how is it?" asked Aka over the phone completely ignoring the two whom he tag along with this.

"the 22 people successfully came out, there are seven of you left" answered the General

"What do you mean seven? It's only three of us around?" asked Aka astonishment. He clearly counted everyone before and his calculation wasn't wrong.

If this were to be proven, then his conjecture was right. The enemy is inside here!
