At the same hand, when Mato and his unit reached the said burning mountain. It's true, but it seems that the mountain has been burning from a very long time ago, the fire has already distinguished from it's root and it was rapidly moving onto the other side. They can't do nothing about the wildfire and can only wish for the rain to come.

Carefully, they stepped and all their footing on the ground was pure ashes, nothing can be seen but only the fire aftermath and the fire scent is still fresh.

Though, it's no longer around this area, There are small part where it's still burning but it's not lethal enough.

As they start surveying, Mato went into the other side and the scene before him was flabbergasting. There, he saw building ruins that was clearly just burned.

His conjecture was right

This was the research facility.

He immediately called the whole unit and everyone reaction was the same. They never expected that the outcome would be this terrible.

"Was it because we are too late?" asked Fargo when he saw the ruins and his face is in sour. He is used in the battle field but this is were far from reasonable

"No, we never thought that the research buildings would be burning" Mato replied and glance around the surrounding. But no matter what, it's all ruins.

"Mato is right but I think, since this is a research lab and many chemical substances was around, it makes the fire to rapidly congest everything" explained Xie, who is a keen person.

"Could it be that the researchers got wind of our arrival?" Fargo further asked in suspicion

Just then, someone from the unit called their attentions and when they went into the soldier footing, there they saw human burnt bodies.

It was horrible

Those are not only the bodies that was found in the area, but numerous are scattered and probably there are more in the building ruins. This made them to become speechless.

If it was an accidental fire, then there are chances of survival but from the looks of it, no body made it out alive. They are most likely trapped and unable to get out that's why they got caught up with the fire.

This is not the only time they encounter scene like this but this is far beyond from the past cases.

It feels like this was intentionally terminated

"Xie, contact the head quarters now as soon as possible" Mato who felt like having a headache spoke.

Xie nodded in agreement and immediately went to do something. Cignal or networks can't be accessible but Xie is a skilled technician. Not everyone in the other Survey Sect unit knows about this or else tag of war has long emerged.

He has a purposely case where wires, batteries, and any other important materials was stuffed in. For emergency, this particular unit always bring this case around since a technician who is capable is with them.

With his skillful hands and with the assistance of the other soldiers, in no time he created a radar. Though, it was temporary only, it is very useful.

The installment was successful and he immediately reported the scene and requested for back up as well as the forensic sect. They maybe a survey sect but they're not knowledgeable enough on scientific matters.

"Did it go through?" asked Mato

"Yes, it was successful. The back up is on the way, they told us to remain surveying until the back up come" Xie answered

"But do you think this was some sort of deliberate? If they know we are coming, they would never go into such as extreme, burning their own selves is out of the question already" Xie queried.

The more Mato think about it, the more complicated it become. Even the combat unit who passed by didn't seem to notice the burning facility since they are too far and they can only see a glimpse of the wild fire and think it was a normal forest fire, so they didn't bother.

Then, that man named Ed, crossed his mind.
