To Hunt You Down

Another two days has passed, and everything was the same as usual. Everyone immediately forget what happened back then and focused on their perspective tasks. Desmond was also summoned by the Lieutenant Colonel and was berated with harsh words because of the head ache he just caused.

It turns out that Dia Murphy, a socialite that came from a renowned family was his fiancée and they're about to get married next year, Dia was that woman who caused the scandal. They also found out that Desmond is cheating with another woman named Melisa Starks, she is a licensed nurse but she tag along with the medical team even if she wasn't permitted in the first place, but because Desmond has connections, he managed to get her on the list. The two has been in a relationship for about many months now.

That's because Desmond is unable to caught Eri's attention and this lady's guard was always damn high the whole time so because of frustration, he went to find other else but too bad, his fiancée was very cautious and a bit of paranoid that's why she use all her might to dig some dirt and she found out that he was cheating and she intrude here but when she get back, her arm was injured. Because of the sudden harm, her father which is a politician of Kovsky was bewildered and was demanding for the military to give an explanation, though, it was her who came here at her will.

Now, the military has to deal with it.

Aka noticed that Eri has become more heedful and was eluding him for some reason, she started to become more and more dubitable and her guard was always high. Aka found it entertaining and just let her be, it's not like he is unable to reach her any way.

His phone suddenly rang, he doesn't usually carry it around but it was stuffed on his pocket. He saw that it was Yuhan and he picked it up.

"Hello Captain, I have a good news and a bad news" Yuhan stated lazily

"Just spill it" Aka bluntly replied

"The bad news is that your dog poop on my bed! Does he always do this?" Yuhan blurted out a bit of frustrated. Aka give the fur ball to him for chaperone since he will be away for many weeks and Yuhan was the only choice that is left.

"He might disliked you" Aka replied as he recall that time when the fur ball also pooped at Caelan's bed.

"Aish, whatever but you know the good news is" Yuhan added in excitement

"Enough with the suspense" Aka aforesaid

"Fine, I found something valuable because of your weird dog. Your dog was always slipping when night time comes and I decided to secretly follow it one night and heck! I was scared on my wits at that damn dark forest! But in return, I saw your dog, it just stand beneath a tree for many minutes and seemed to be anticipating something but he turned to leave after wards. I don't know if he was secretly meeting with someone behind your back.." Yuhan gasp in articulate

"Just go to the main point already, you're not a good story teller anyway" Aka utter, of course, he was aware of the fur ball's strange behavior.

"Ok fine fine, then just beside that tree I discover some very small particles of unknown chemicals. I went to survey and test it and for some unknown reason, it matches the substance that we also found back then at that burned facility back then at the Thousand Soul Mountain Rail. It was very strange and was unbelievable but I just wanted to say that, that person behind that was here at the army" Yuhan enunciated

"What about that substance that killed the deer?" Aka asked as his perfect brows furrows

"About that, it's an another version of the same substance and the prominent ingredient was Sarin, this was inhaled and one of the deadliest nerve gases, hundred more times more toxic than Cynide. Just one whiff and you'll foam at the mouth, fall into a coma and die. I don't know how the suspect did it, but it appeared that, that person multi used it and was able to generate other output at the said poison" Yuhan explained in an unbelievable tone.

"Ok, that's far from enough" Aka answered back in ease

"Really? You're not going to ask anything more?" Yuhan gleamed

"Yes, you did well enough just send me your bank account later" Aka replied back

"Whoa, whoa.. I never asked for anything but I'm not shy to refuse your great offer so thank you boss! bye!" in delight Yuhan ended the call and can't wait to see if how many zeros are there!

Aka put his phone away as he stare at the blue sea just in front of him with a foxy grin. He wonders how things will turn up now that he has an indication.

At 5pm, there is a sudden down pour of the rain in the whole island so everyone went inside to scoot. It was unusual to rain here especially it's not a rainy season.

"Hey captain, do you want to go somewhere interesting?" Ang asked as he was seated just beside Aka inside a gigantic military tent. Ang wasn't too much talkative this time that's why Aka didn't leave.

"At this weather?" Aka eyed at him

"Yup, and it's the perfect weather for a hunt" Ang grinned as he stood

The two of them went outside the tent followed by another two soldier from Borgzpit. No one queried about their whereabouts as they left the colonized area under the rain. They used a single Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLVT) and head at the northern part of the island. It was surrounded with nothing but mountains and the vast forest.

"So what's the quota here?" Aka asked as he situated his Modular Tactical Vest.

"Nothing special but I heard that there is an abandoned old medical cottage here and i might be able to find resourceful poisons there" Ang certified while wiping his M60E4

"What for?" Aka raised his brows

"Nothing, I just had this hobby of collecting strange things, I'm lucky if I am able to find a scintilla of Botulinum, this crap is handy nowadays. This is deadlier than Sarin, your nervous system fails and you die in extreme pain but it works miracles on wrinkles, though" Ang smirked with a flash of amusement at the thought

"But I heard ferocious beast roam around this area and I think that's the high light of this raid. What do you think Captain?" Ang added as he looked at Aka who is just beside him.

"I'm more interested on the hunt rather than that poison. I don't understand the resolve of science anyway" Aka juncture

"Ha ha, well of course not everyone can extrapolate the felicity of venturing at the depths of poisons. I'm not a scientist neither a forensic however just a single driblet of it is enough to elicit chaos" Ang gleamed in satisfaction as he look from afar

This man maybe loud and big mouthed however he is someone who can't be lowered in terms of battle perspective. He came from a society that is subpar and deficient however it's the premier reason why he became an intimidating soldier. He is the type of person that would seize anything just to grab the victory and he won't hesitate to do it by himself. He is a self-governing man and at the top of it, he is one of those people who will survive at the survival of the fittest.

He might look barbaric and a violent punk but he is an ally to be partial in the battle field.

As the saying goes, A wise enemy is better to be preferred than an ignorant friend.

"Well good luck with that, see you later.." Aka utter in a dull tone as he dissipate at the dusk into the forest.

"Hey! Where are you going?" shouted Ang as he looked at the departing back of Aka

"Should we go after him?" asked one of the two soldiers whom Ang tag along with him.

"No need, it's like as if he will die anyway. If there's to be wary of, that will be his prey" Ang smirked as he also started walking at the forest in the opposite direction along with the two soldier. They are all soaking wet with the continuous down pour but it didn't bother them at all as they continue their own convey without staggering.
