The so called-wolves

A grand party was held after wards. Many delicacies was prepared by five star chefs and the venue was no wonder very classy. As the whole ambience was filled with chatters and laughter, everyone attention is always shifted at the center table where the main family was seated especially the newly head.

There is a five seat that was emptied beside him and that was supposedly for his other siblings but they didn't attend, only the younger ones is present.

Though it was like that, nobody has the guts anymore to query.

"When is this going to end?" Aka silently whispered to person beside him who is his father. As he slice a piece of steak and stuff it in his mouth, with bored eyes.

"This will take long, anyone would approach you after the meal" Astrid replied and it was obvious that his son has lost his interest and any time soon he would play his food with the fork. This is a mannerism of Aka that Astrid has seen before, if is bored he would dally what's in front him.

"Then tell them to end this quickly" Aka secretly rolled his eyes

"No matter what pay respect to any of them, you won't want them to think you are a defiant" Astrid sighed as he wipe Kayden mouth who is smeared with sauce. Nevertheless, he is still close to his children in spite his tyrannizer behavior.

Aka just shut his mouth in oppression to argue. He is actually a sociable man and doesn't lack the charisma that invite people around him. Still, he has a powerful halo that keep people away from him and he is just a creature that can be look from afar.

A man on his 50's that belongs to the main family that was dressed elaborately was the first one to take his move and went into the table where Aka and his family was seated, this action make everyone to stare at his direction but when they saw his familiar face they expunge the thought immediately.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I have the permission to sit here?" the man kindly asked and pointed out the seat that is a one seat apart from Aka that was supposedly belongs to his other siblings who didn't attend.

"Sure" Aka just simply replied, and a mirth flashed in his eyes but he still offered a simple smile which is his everyday get up to gloss everything. He know this man before him and was aware of his existence and he can't be lowered from authority. This very man belongs to the pack of opportunist in the clan. They are called as the wolves.

Wolves are the sole reason of the continuous family feud.

They are called wolves since they are nameless and their entities was unknown, and anyone could be one of them, but those who opposes the head and seeks rebellion is called one.

"Thank you" the man answered with all sincerity as he took a sit and offered a toast toward Aka.

Aka on the other hand didn't hesitate to clink his glass, just who is he to refuse such a graceful offer?

Anastacius, the man was taken back a bit. He never expected that this new head that was so younger than him could be this very daring, aren't he aware that this toast is a sign of affinity?

When those who are paying attention at the main table saw the toast, some gulped and some was delighted. No one in this clan doesn't know Anastacius deportment, and it was rather pestilent. A man that everyone should be cautious of. Behind his courtesy was a snake that resides in and many has fallen in his palms and meet an unfortunate end. This person doesn't lack the wealth as well the authority and he is considered as second after the head.

"Nice seeing you here, uncle" Aka actually emphasized the word 'uncle', as he withdraw his glass and drank it all with one gulp. Even Astrid and Eve who saw this was outshone. Is their son for real? Not even Astrid has taken a bold action the moment he became the head before because he is aware of the said wolves and he actually know them.

Anastacius, smiled slyly and finished his drink as well. He isn't an idiot to think that Aka accepted the feat, but still, he is successful on making a toast, nobody has the guts aside from him.

"so what's your plan after this?" Anastacius asked casually

"Nothing out of the ordinary, I'm planning to return at the military" Aka replied without fear that he is spilling beans toward the danger and actually, even if he asked the color of his underwear he will honestly tell him.

"Oh, the military? I heard you had a seclusion for almost three years. That's a good news" Anastacius inferred without slipping and it feel like as if this is a normal conversation to him.

"Mmm… I have many things to comprehend with" answered Aka. Well it's true, at a very young age he entered the military with such a great power. He didn't relay on his background and the one who actually invited him into the military was no other than his late great grandfather who is a well-known in the military. Not everyone was aware of it, but Aka's family circle is been long affiliated in the military and has been on service for almost a decade, unlike the other family, they use their man power and capability in-helping nor joining the military and that's the only humanity that is left to them. If only his grandfather didn't passed away, he wonder how things would have been.

Growing at the military shadow for his entire life, no one is aware just how terrifying Aka has become. The battlefield has been his home. That's his battle scars.

But in this past three years he actually went to seclusion for some reason and he doesn't have an idea how the military missed his aspect. In truth, he is a figure that is very essential.

"Well good luck for that and congratulations for being the next head" Anastacius just said the moment he felt he can't gain anymore information. Just the rumor says, Aka isn't a man that can't be easily deceived. He is as calm as the sea but he is as deep as the sea. Unknown and not fathomable.

"You want a piece of me?"

Upon hearing that, everyone in the table stopped and it was as if they heard a taboo word, all their attention shifted toward Aka and they are rather speechless. Even Anastacius is muted and unable to say anything at the moment.

That statement only means that if Anastacius want the title and nothing else.

Aka then burst out laughing at their reaction, his laughter is actually pleasant into the ears but rather on the other way around for those who are in the table. Including those people around them fell silent of the sudden outburst.

"I'm just kidding, please don't take it seriously, continue the party. If I may.." he said normally like as if he isn't the cause of the sudden change of mood as he stood and bid farewell toward the table and strode outside with gazes glued on him until his shadow disappear.

The mood is no longer in lively clamor when he left and everyone felt like as if they have lost interest and started to bid their farewells as well. What's the point staying if the highlight of the party has left? It hasn't been an hour actually since the party started. Normally the duration would be six to seven hours.

But everyone is aware of the reason behind it, it was Anastacius who ruined the mood, since he is the only culprit who approached the table. Most eyes was accusing and cursing him secretly in ridicule.

Anastacius who felt such as gazes felt an overflow of embarrassment and he no longer remain at the table and he bid his farewell and left the hall with mirth.

If there is anything to say.. this is a unbelievable change of events.

Aka is the youngest to become the next head

He is the first to become a head without a partner

And most importantly, he is the only one who end the banquet under an hour

What an epic
