Comments of chapter undefined of My Disciples Are All Villains

I’m kinda torn in this Si Wuya situation on one hand I like reading a story with real stakes. On the other hand I feel like the author is teasing us with his possible if not inevitable resurrection/reincarnation. Chekhov’s gun states if you show a gun then you have to fire it. Otherwise what’s the point in wasting several chapters on this kinda sudden and random death.
