Thanks for the chapter. My illogical and subjective opinion: With the way his skills (especially his spells) are going and the gain of skills points, I cannot imagine how he could kill thousands of warriors in one blow at level 80. He doesn't only need a high level or high stats, his skills (and spells) have to be developed enough to not be useless. These are the ways I see it (for it to work in the game as here he could just learn the spells and skills manually like everyone): - One of his universal level (I forgot what it was) items give him skill points for a certain amount of kills. - At a certain level, the amount of skills points needed drastically diminish. Eg: As a Battle Mage all Mage spells only need two skills points to be learnt at their highest level. - At a certain level the gain of skills points increase drastically. Eg: For a rank B quest you gain an average of 20 skill points. - When a spell reach a certain level it grows with the player. Eg: If South become stronger his shadows will automatically become strong enough to still be useful against foes at his level. I started reading just two days ago but this problem keeps haunting.
Most probably as he ranks up his skills levels. For example if he hits rank 3 as a mage, the skill points to rank up those spells would be alot higher as it starts as a rank 3 spell compared to a lower tier spell like shadow spike. Also based of how easy it seems for souta to rack up skill points, it does not seem that he will have an exceedingly large issue with skill levels. For him to do a basic quest that he can do easily at this point can garner him 1 skill point. If he chooses to farm and grind, the amount he can gain within a short period of time would be substantial enough for him to start maxing out his skills.
In theory, there is darkness itself within the human body so he should be able to kill people using the darkness near the heart or other major organs to pierce said organs. If he manages to get fine enough control over his Shadows/Darkness and modify one of his spells to be able to attack on a smaller scale, the shadow bind tentacle spell would be perfect. I really hope after this fight which should really highlight his major weaknesses he starts to deal with some of the weaknesses, whatever they may be. Then hopefully he will be able to fight a group of people at his same level of power with little to no effort. Also maybe he is just not using it correctly but it feels like despite being one of the peak goblin species, the goblin corrupter is very weak overall. Or maybe it will really show its power in the next tier of whatever he chooses meaning he specifically chose the corruptor species to build on its ability later on. Or he just needs to start fighting hand to hand.
