I kinda like the development, though I'm currently not in the mood to read about a villain, I can still appreciate how the character is fleshed out. (Pun intended) He doesn't need to be attractive by an average human's standards like most authors treat their ocs and he actually has a very good reason for turning into a villain, it's almost unavoidable, I would say. That said, instead of a villain, wouldn't it be more accurate to call him a tragic hero? Fallen into an abyss of insanity where instead of monsters or people his worst enemy is...his debauched mind. Plus instead of becoming a villain by hunting down humans/faunus, it is clued (Or maybe it's just my imagination) that his priority is going to be the extermination of grimms.
