I am just going to say this, people complain about the various holes in the Mc's logic and stuff, but the greatest leap in logic, is him being in University at all. Consider this, he's lazy and not hardworking at all when it comes to academics, has no passion for the major he picked and only picked it to avoid English which he failed at, and skips classes to do part time jobs. Like couldn't he have worked on the farm? The only logical way I see him going to University is if his parents forced him to go, if not that its pretty stupid that he's at university.

Good students will never understand the commoners. His behavior at school is very realistic, it reminded me of my time at university with my friends, we were all like that.
