Thing is, this is a big ass plot hole. As much as I like the crane being important, none of this makes sense. The trial only involved a force that swept him away. Sure his head was hurt, but his head has already healed there is no reason why his brain should be acting like that. And if his treasured Hearts are stopping like this everytime he gets some hard shock, then his cultivation will have been for nothing right? I aint never even heard of cultivators losing their memories because of a shock, or even their Dantian and cultivation not working because they fell bad lol. Thats some normal human stuff, not for someone who is a pseudo god compared to the mortals. This all seems so abrupt and forced, I could understand if he got so injured that he needed to relax amd rest for a few years but this is disappointing

Lol 2 year time skip for the so called calamity? Then what? Plot armor saves the day? I was actually starting to enjoy reading this but now I’m doubting whether to continue or drop. I was expecting some character development from his first calamity instead this.

How can this affect his memory, (a bump on the head LUL) this might be one of the lamest nerfs I have seen in so long. Also, a 2 years and 4 months time skip for no reason whatsoever yet again just to let some trash characters catch up. Legit retarded. So bad

I don't understand the complaints. The mc has a life expectancy of hundreds of years, what is the problem with 2 years without cultivating?

I don’t really like how his cultivation was just cut off but this reminds me of when miyamoto musashi helped at the random village after getting injured in the vagabond manga.

if that's the price for saving someone then who would want to save someone..is this what author wanted to point out.....everyone around told me since childhood that if you help someone..save someone etc..etc...you will always get something good in return one way or another...but seeing what author made him like for saving someone..how much time did he waste so far..how much suffering did he take so far etc..this is literally very unrealistic that instead of saving himself he saved a crane considering his personality it is totally unrealistic..because even a normal person with sympathy would save himself first not some animal or bird if a disaster or something is striking upon them......
