I really hate the emperor more than the mother and daughter duo and how these kind of novels find excuses for these characters. Like you are not supposed to take care of your own child if she's not smart enough, cute enough or tough enough. "Weakness is prolonged death" yeah so is neglect and abuse. She is weak that's why a parent should protect their child. People should really stop supporting and sympathising with terrible characters like this. And stop complimenting them for having an interest in their child; that's like the bare minimum when it comes to a parent's duty. And yes he is worse than the mother and daughter coz he has the power to stop them and protect his child but he chooses not to instead.
