I really wanted Akio and Kanako to date, so Akio can feel the heat of lying, and then Haruna starts getting over Kanako slowly and avoids her, doesn't even eat lunch near her, and then Kanako starts missing Haruna, and starts trying to get closer to her again and then finally finds her feelings... Finally they talked to each other like adults. Kana-chan being unsure should just try to date Haruna and if it doesn't work then it doesn't work, so back to being friends then. Dating means that it is test run for deeper relationship and there is nothing wrong try it.
