Get to the Point
I'm curious, in IET's StFSP, it was said that after the Dao Sect War, many of the disciples of Jie School were taken by the Buddhists as mounts. Many years later, some of them (were) returned to Jie School, some remained in the Buddhist lands. I assume this happened after Tongtian was imprisoned by the Dao Ancestor? I'm also assuming that this is part of the Western Sect's "prosperity"?? hmmm, there's a lot to think about... question then: how long was Grandmaster of Heaven imprisoned? did he get out before or after the events of Journey to the West happened?
thank you! yeah I've noticed that as well on DE, be it the gods' and immortals' power levels or their affiliation in general... of course nobody here says it's wrong or anything. Just making an observation (a precaution against misunderstandings xD) ...and in StFSP he also simplified the classification of races, etc. many big shots don't make an appearance, huh... I see. ... oh btw was it "only" the Grand Supreme Elder who places Wukong into the furnace, or was it Sage Grand Pure himself?
Christopher_who:IET takes a lot of creative liberties with the source materiel. I’m not sure where StFSP said what you said but its been more then a year since I’ve read so I might have missed it. On the subject of tongtian, neither him, Amitabha, nor the three purities nor Nuwa really appear post fengshen. They’re likely adopting a non interference policy as it’s not their era any more but tongtian moght be imprissoned forever since he did try to refine the universe.
Though I didn’t find this chapter too interesting. They did set the some of the ground rules for the tribulation here which is important. How shocked will the human general be once he realises the marshall and show runner there was none other than the Jade emperor! 😅 Plus the dragon was quite funny. He had some practice I see. 😂 It really is a shame the other dragons don’t take note.
