By the way , more lore trivia , Demon God was an existence outside of demon courts even at its peak and is the rightful rival (in this history) of Hong Yun . Hong Yun ,Lang (pure speculation here) and Kun Peng in an erased time might well be considered the true 3 contenders of the world ,but only Hong Yun truly reached the zenith . The saints all walked another path , which would not allow them to face Hong Yun (save for Grand pure one) ,but unlike them ,Lang got wiped while Kun Peng lost against dao ancestor Hong Yun ,which now puts him behind the saints... ? This can't be confirmed yet for this story . Speaking myths though: 先有鸿钧后有天 First there was Hong Yun ,then there is the heavens . It's a joke to compare any saint save for Taishang to great primal ancestor Hong Yun ,one stands at the great dao ,the other is the primal chaos prior to the universe/great dao who sacrifice himself to complete the universe . Hong Yun was at such a height that if at that time saints existed ,he would still erase them with ease . He is considered the ancestor of all Xian (immortals) hence dao ancestor . Hong Yun is the one who allowed heaven and earth to be completed by his contribution , hence ,'primordial universe' 鸿元 is a term used in creation mythos to describe the universe prior to the division of heaven and earth . And Kun Peng was very much able to stand by this figure . Kun Peng is ,the only one outside of Taishang and possibly Xuandu (in the future anyway) who can match Hong Yun in 'cultivation' . The Kun ,the vastness of the world , and bearing it all the highest representation of freedom - the peng , demon god Kun Peng is rightfully the highest symbol of freedom and true ideal sought by all cultivators of all paths ,Daoist ,Buddhist ,magi ,demonic , etc . The Kun Peng is the shroud of Heaven that before anyone else was free of the universe - in a sense ,he was the first saint . Hong Yuan/Yun chose to lock himself to the universe ,while Kun Peng chose to escape it ,both in spite of themselves following their truest nature. I would take the power comparison from Lu Yue and other characters (Kun Peng being afraid of Western Saint) with a shitload of salt ,because the people of the universe does not have a true understanding of the world itself from what I can surmise . The contradictions show how much info these characters truly have and it matches their strength ,with only Xuandu knowing the sheer zenith that Hong Yun is only matched by Taishang thus far . Until Taishang or Xuandu speaks about it ,I'd take power comparisons with scepticism especially on regards to Kun Peng

Ah. So Lu Yue blows the heroes' reputation away... Not the other kind of blowing~
