I'm not exactly an animal lover but this seemed needlessly cruel and dumb. It's one thing for the MC to have this cheat of dying over and over (Pocket Hunting Dimension) but to just force your pet to die repeatedly (including killing it yourself), I don't know.

So... he spent 3 days inside some realm right? are there some time shennanigans at play here? Otherwise this dude went afk/missing for 3 whole days with no prior notification or contact, starved the hound and probably missed some customers. Also the rat got memory modified or not? I mean it's not an issue at all cause it can't talk however if by some chance they can do it later on or even display it due to black tech or some pet skill (like the cat illusion) then it would be troublesome for the MC. Even if the respawn is no longer used on future pets I think it would still be an issue... maybe.
