I think Curtis was pissed at Parker because Parker shattered his “dreamy” Bai Qingqing when Parker killed Ape King. Curtis let Ape King played with his mind here because Ape King gave him what male in that world wanted: to hear his spouse said she wants to be together again in next life. Poor Parker misunderstood the situation (he saw Curtis smiling foolishly in the air and guessed it right when he saw and killed Ape King) 😂 Somehow Curtis letting himself to be deceived by Ape King is heart-melting for me.
