I am sad that Curtis stated he didn‘t want kids but jumps her like that (although *** for pleasure seems irrelevant in this world). It is a wake up call. This world is primitive. The guys do a lot for their mates but at some point, if they do everything that is expected, they want something in return, to be able to give in to urges and mate. The concept of romance is not the same as in a modern society. She has to teach it to them since it’s a very foreign concept to them. To me, this incident comes across as very realistic in the context of this story. Modern romance is still uncomprehensible to them, although they really like her for herself by now, this is all the more reason to mate. Parker would also jump her first thing once she runs out of excuses like bad health. She slowly fell xor them bc she can rely on them but she acts very naive, too. she thought they would just be a happy family without them wanting anything? well, they aren‘t in your world yet, sweetie, stay alert.
