I think it was a stupid idea for Yun to accept his mother's invitation since deep down he knew what she would do, but then he was probably trying to give her one last chance since he really cares about Juan and would want her accepted. While Juan's emotional outburst is understandable...and it was not just due to Madam Wang, but also due to the situation with Shan, which she knew started due to her, and Rong earlier...but she also knew deep down what Madam Wang would do, and she still allows it to get to her. As difficult as it may be, the harsh reality is that she will have to toughen herself up and face it while improving herself.
