JKS, First, love your book and hope it continues to be great. However, if writing is going to be your job and you plan on keeping your readers, you need to approach this more like a job. There is always an excuse to as why you are behind, usually some crazy story peppered in here and there. My recommendation would be to take a week to write and get a week agesd of release. That way your content wont suffer every time theres a personal hiccup for you. Great story, but you are constantly chasing your selfimposed release schedule. Its not a good look, Especially when you ate trying to tempt us with a mass release.
I doubt the Dalki can keep evolving my guess their evolution speed is related to their life span. Species that live shorter lives tend to evolve faster. The evolution may even come at the cost of their life span where their body forces out its potential. Like how losing blood gave Quinn the same effect as when he drinks blood, the energy needs to come from somewhere so it must be consuming something in exchange. So far the Dalki have been op and getting more so as time goes off so there should be cost for all their power and steep one at that. It just hasn't been revealed yet.
I think Arthur recognized that the Dalki were too strong for the humans to defeat and made a "pact with the devil" to protect the humans on the orange planet as he assumed the rest of humanity was a lost cause. Otherwise I think he felt that they would all be gone and his entire mission as a punisher would have been a failure. Hence his comments to Quinn that he would need to be stronger than him to prevent what is coming... because Arthur himself didn't feel he was strong enough on his own to stop it. What no one but Bliss knows is that Ray was strong enough to deal with it on his own, and while he is gone, his bloodline still exists... Now, if only Quinn can realize what this means and find out how to access the power it holds and wield it...
Information, Nathan needed information and acted with insufficient information. Nathan is buggered unless he defused the situation. Gram is a lot more interesting then I thought he would be. Gram is coming across as a total psychopath and a genocidal one, that's particularly interesting. The problem is he doesn't seem like the bond villain who will pontificate on his grand master plan.
Mmmm finally Quinn is getting some information on the Dalki, though its not much beyond what he already knows. Im curious if hes betting his Dalki life, or perhaps something else. Also looks like Graham cant detect that its a different mind in the Dalki, so thats good. Im just wondering though, if something happens to the humans on the planet nathan is on, due to the humans interferences, will it tick off Arthur? They really don't need another enemy at this point.
I kind of feel bad for Ruby at the moment, she was happily living her life when Arthur showed up and made thing a bit easier for everyone, but next thing she knows he gone the Dalki have showed up and started fighting with the Earthborn. I hope she comes to realise that Nathan and his men aren't there to hurt anyone but want to investigate why the Dalki are there and what happened to the Demon tier Sword.
Um... with shadow lock, Arthur can take the whole shelter into his shadow and move them... I dont understand how the Dalki are using them as hostages .... unless The shelter isn't who the Dalki are using as collateral against Arthur... maybe its one of the knights of the round... who was the one In charge of Arthur's eternal rest again?
