Honestly at this point, if Peter is able to somehow earn back Quinn’s trust by almost probably sacrificing his own life, it would be amazing if the vampire cells can revive him and he becomes Quinn’s most trusted left hand man (right hand girl is reserved for Layla of course) (and Vorden’s after something else 😏not the hands mehewhewhewhewhew)
I am interested to see how the system gives Quinn a leg up over other vampires. Can Quinn eventually learn more than one ability or grow beyond what other vampires thought was possible. Another thing I want to point, so level 8 means that your ability allows you to do 80 of some type of stat. For instance Erin is a level 5(on paper) and was able to use her ability to show off 50 strength. Meaning if Quinn wants to fight a level 8 ability user he would need to have one of his stats at 80 or is that wrong. It has to be wrong because Quinn kicked the crap out of Ian who was a level 6(If I recall correctly) when he had double stats,so around 30 in each stat, after he went crazy. Based on that, it seems to me like if you add up all your stats and remove the last number you should have your level, so Bloodcrazy Quinn with around 90 overall stat points should be level 9. However, the problem with that theory is that Erin got 50 on just her strength stat test but was still given level 5, despite her overall stat total obviously being larger than 50. Based on that it seems to me like the military's level system is flawed on the higher end of levels(5 and above) or at least what I theorize is the military's level system. Lower end(4 and below) my theory seems about right because when Quinn had around 30 overall stat point he was able to kick the crap out of level 2 ability users with almost no problem, since he was level 3. In conclusion, most likely a level 4 and below ability user has around 40 total stat points but once you get past that number for whatever reason the military level system fails. I am going to assume it is because as you grow stronger and thus age along side your ability level, there are a lot more factors to your combat strength(other than ability level and stat points), martial arts techniques, combat experience, equipment, ability skills, etc.
Since he was first mentioned I've been thinking that Richard Eno is a vampire. How has one person after seeing such advanced alien technology that no one could attempt to understand for so long suddenly understand the portals, beast weapons/gear, and other things they credit him with creating or understanding. He might even be the creator of the system for all we know. I'm also saying this because with how often he's mentioned you would think he has some important role later down the line, otherwise it would be really annoying for the reader to find out it was just some random dude that doesn't have anything to do with the story.
I really enjoy reading this novel yet it's extremely frustrating that each chapter (which isn't cheap to unlock) only last maybe 10 minutes due to being so short! Thanks for putting a ton out there author, however quality over quantity man. How about you make them last a little longer so the enjoyment can last?
