Author, I really hope you are reading this because please answer me : why wouldn't he use the goddame book???!! He is on a planet which is highly hostel, with the highest danger-warning, and he wants to safe the book for later when he knows more?? Nobody would do that, NOBODY, because when you are dead, books won't help you anymore.

AND YET HE DIDN'T USE IT. WHY? WHY?..... The story is good but the Mc is fucking stupid annoying and I wish there a Stat for wisdom intelligence or something alike because HE IS STUPID. GOD OH GOD. COME ON COME ON...... I'M SORRY AUTHOR. I LOVE YOUR STORY BUT PLEASE, COULD YOU REDUCE THE MC STUPIDITY? THANKS AND GOOD JOB. LOVE IT

It's called min maxing. Anyone that played any mmorpg/rpg game with a leveling system to its endgame would make the same choice. What's good to him now might be trash in end game.

Pretty sure vampire are very close to shadow, darkness, blood, bat, coffin something like that.

He didnt use the book for smart reasons. He needs to see what the book is compatable with and you never take an unproven weapon into battle. i.e he has never used it so he has no clue what it does. what if it drains 90% of his health and 100% of his stamina. he would be left near death and defencseless.

I'm so curious what the Shadow power is, and still curious what Vorden got from Ian. The way he smiles and Ian is faking a different power makes me hope it's a good one .

so the vampire system didn't take up the a ability slot a person has, which means he's allowed to have 1 ability and the vampire system. what if you could be a lightning vampire, Frost vampire, shadow vampire, etc. if he chose to absorb the shadow book then he'd lock himself out of the other choices he could've had. tough call, but definitely deserves some thought. not everyone just automatically consumes anything and everything just cause they can. I agree with the patience option. research first then decide. always.
