I believe if quinn had no power vorden would have felt it. So when he failed to get the power from him he understood that quinn has a mysterious power so he wants to look at it.

I suspect Vorden knows Quinn is powerful, otherwise why would he be so adamant in being friends? He likely got a strange reaction from touching him or sommat

If Vorden is an original than perhaps he has family knowledge of other original’s abilities. Also possible the originals that did not choose to share their abilities is because they saw how it was Dividing the people and had higher morals. Maybe thats why Vorden isnt concerned about levels and has been raised to genuinely appreciate others based on the content of their character, as well as to see if he has potentially found another original to befriend in Quinn.. 🤔

This Vorden is truly intrigued by Quinn's mysterious ability. Maybe he knows his power's tier and that it could be restricted to copying some special abolities or those tiers above his. I guess he's a smart kid.
