Please pay more attention to laws of physics and your own words. A light year means the distance that light takes a year to travel through. If these entities are thousands of light years away, similarly they would only see this thousands of years later. Unless there was some kind of ability to sense the traveling light or some kind of mana wave (which would have to travel countless times faster than light to reach these entities within the same day) which is omitted here.
