I can get where Xiao Hei is coming from, from a Cultivation Protagonist perspective, because none of them like leaving debts unfulfilled. Same thing here, with saving Rongrong. It's just that his actions go against what Tang Li Xue promised. Things will be sorted out eventually, just not at this moment. Thanks for the Chapter!
I’m feeling a bunch of conflicting emotions here…. I can see why Elder Yang wants to save Rongrong but at same time it’s just not fair to our MC cuz she literally is so evil and tries to harm MC & Yan’er too. Kinda feeling a little disappointed in him. Tang Li Xue might have to separate from him with this promise of hers but perhaps some time away from each other would do them some good? Thanks for chapter author!!
I hate to say it but leaving Rong Rong live is beneficial. Not much for TLX but a lot for Xiao Hei, since she is his main shield in the sect. I mean that if the granddaughter dies, the sect master will try to kill not only the ones responsible for it(TLX crew) but also the elders of the HSS that let it happen. However, all the elders would probably try to push the blame on Xiao Hei since he was the one that had the main mission, Rongrong was his fiance, and his dark form most probably got noticed by at least 1 or 2 elders which would push him to being considered dark sect spy and traitor.
