I forgot where I read or seen it, but there is quote saying- "It's painful to say goodbye to someone you don't wanna let go, but it's more painful to say them to say when you know they want to go." Belle's situation reminds me of this quote. She didn't want him to go and it's true that her parents made this deal but on the other hand it's also a fact that he agreed which is maybe more painful to her.
