I don't get these novels sometimes . why does humanity regress to monarch from democracy in crisis and even worst form of monarch its like never learning from history . this is doomed to destruction in any case .

If I was Leo I would be a bit angry at her testing his capability because of her questioning whether he is worthy of the royal families protection. When if the royal family is incapable of stopping its major noble households from murdering its lower noble households for BS reasons, then the entire kingdom will crumble due to civil war in less than a generation. So regardless of whether he is worthy or not they have to protect him, just like they do all the other nobles that earned their title by fighting for humanity. Especially since they already rolled over for the Snow family when they murdered his older brother which to me is already worthy of Leo taking revenge on the royal family. This is besides the point but I hope Leo does eventually do something to the royal family as revenge because they do deserve it. Maybe stealing their most beautiful princess, just because he can. Obviously not forcing her against her will(meaning she has to be willing to leave with him) but forcing the royal family to let it happen.
