I think your message is coming across but the way you structure your sentences can be confusing and cause pausing in the story flow. I think your doing a good job. I would just recommend a editor so that it can flow and allow your reader to be absorbed in the story.

So confusing. Try to not introduce too many characters at once, especially when their names are difficult to remember.
