Comments of chapter undefined of Omega Summoner

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was said that technically his body is healed, but that he has 'forgotten' how to walk. Which would imply that there is something in his brain that is preventing him from sending signals to his legs in a proper manner. Assuming his spine is fine. But since his own (maybe) insecurities or whatever else is psychologically holding him back from walking in the real world, then how would it be possible for him to walk in a virtual reality where he can 'feel' his own body? A bit of incongruity there
