It looks like that Earth wasn't able to resolve the various plagues without Gu Jun. This feels more and more like an alternate timeline. Hopefully Gu Jun can get back to Earth at the right time to prevent these horrors. One of the plagues, the Petrification Plague, reminds me of an old scifi movie I once watched when I was a kid. It's called Fatal Error (1999). Basically, a computer virus that caused rapid calcification in anyone who stared into the infected computer screen.
