Seems a bit over the top especially when the ML is walking all cool with a bunch of guards while the FL is struggling to escape some wolves. She should be dead meat by then.

uhh... didn't she get home by herself pre-rebirth. So shouldn't she either know about the wolves ahead of time or not run into them? I know she probly took a shortcut or something, but from what I read it gives the impression she just stands up and 'whoops wolf pack behind ya'.
