Looking forward to seeing another "meanwhile in the higher realm" chapter. If it is Fairy Ren's group, it'd be another plus because we may be able to see if they have good intentions towards MC or if that seal on MC is a trap.

If I remember right isnt the Sea of Consciousness the soul? When it fully collapses the soul is gone right? Following that logic since Rex has a type of soul imprint it implies all the more that his would be master knows techniques involving souls. In a normal world there are plenty of different life forms and any attempt to be able to understand and manipulate the minds of multiple species would be quite the task. In the cultivation worlds where weird biology and transformations exists even more so. If your highly complex and extremely precise technique only affects some humanoids of comparable or lesser strength who would even willingly learn it. A soul technique however could presumably affect all with a soul and no proper soul defense.
