Good, the author finally had Sam acknowledge he went too far with letting them train on their own with no protection. It was unlike Sam and too stupid. Especially with what happened with Stella (his old love). You had 6 of the major powers all sending teams to kill/kidnap his friends. It was inevitable that one of them would succeed at some point. He should have interfered after the first time they almost got captured. While they did manage to kill that team, it was already a close shave and it was easily predictable the 6 powers would send even more powerful people at that point. It was already plot armor that they didnt send a team of peak Grand realm cultivators. Sending level 2-4 grand realm cultivators was just so the author could have them fight.
