I think what happened months ago to Gael was quite serious. First, he had to recuperate and heal, then he had to investigate and stabilize matters in the mafia. Sounds like a lot of things going on that one just might not have the bandwidth to care about other things. Moreover at that time he wasn't ready to share his mafia background and he probably didn't want to talk about what really happened to him or have to lie that he was fine but isn't. If I was in Angela's shoes, I would probably be relieved that Gael is well and alive instead of continuing to be angry that he ghosted me for months—which is tiring I agree. Instead of dwelling on the past and what Gael could have done differently, what matters is how he can make things work with Angela and be a good partner to her.
A little thing I'm going to share.... We often feel guilt when we get to meet our loved one or a person whom we just start to like, after a longer period of time, after realizing that they have met with some bad scary event. But I won't say Angela is wrong here, she did waited for him, How would she knew that he was shot? I felt hurt that he had got shot, and the healing process of his wounds would have taken longer period of time. However, after settling the things, A single message would have helped her. Because all the time she was hell worried for him, she would have blame herself countless times. So, she will be now in a confusion state, and will somehow blame herself again for thinking this or that about Gael. This is going to be rollercoaster ride.
Oh my god, he got shot!!! Angela has feelings got him so just clear up all the misunderstandings & crack on. What I would say is that she wants honesty & trust from him but it has to come from her too. She wrote a story about him & refused to tell him about Evan. It appears that he knows about Evan but I want her to tell him.
