LamenThief
LamenThief, it does NOT make you a weak, or bad, author to realize your limitations and act on them. In fact it is the opposite. You have a life outside your storytelling, and it is important to manage/balance both. Otherwise the quality of one or the other tends to drop. There have been authors who developed health issues from neglecting their life while writing amazing work.....only to end up not finishing due to tragedy. Then there are others who neglect the story while trying to deal with life....only to lose interest in writing altogether (because it ends up feeling like an obligation or chore). I would rather you did 3-5 chapters a week and had time to plan ahead and develop where you want to go with your characters, and how you want to get there, then to rush to put something out because you feel “you have to” I think many of the readers would agree with me when I say: we like your story and we hope to be able to read it all the way to the conclusion.
