Just a thought, but could his memories not be of a past attempt but his current attempts future? When he was given three options to choose from he picked the fourth and the system agreed. Plus, he doesn't remember the executioner despite him being there. Could that be because his memory of that event is of this current future where he already killed the executioner?

I kind of hoped that one of his classes would be more mage focused to add more versatility to his combat style but dual wielding a blade made of space and a executioners blade is also cool. Plus, I dont think the void class is just limited to creating blades out of space or teleportation. Hopefully it lets him do things like control gravity and other celestial forces because they are also technically apart of literal space, not just the fictional element of space.
