I wonder if it is possible for Roland to learn the spells of a priest or if priest spells require some kind of divine power which make mages unable to learn them. Regardless, I appreciate his creativity in the way he modifies his spells which is something that usually takes a while for most MC's who learn magic in a Western fantasy game or universe to actually do and implement.
