I'm concerned about how low this MC's INT is. What's so hard about saying "I found out I have some talent in blacksmithing so I managed to get accepted into an Academy". Like it literally doesn't have to have anything to do with saving the world

You need to explain who this grandfather is, what kind of approval he is refusing, and why the rest of the family has to suddenly be with him. The parents are apparently famous and powerful, but are unable to take care of their son without grandfathers approval? It’s confusing.

all of these conversations just feel extremely rushed and unnatural for me. and I'm constantly finding that he's doing or going somewhere and something happens and he's already there or finished with what he's doing when it seemed like he only just started
