First of all, big thanks to everyone who gave their opinions. It helps getting that kind of feedback. And special thanks to Kajnagyip and Rashmi01, you two really help with your in-depth analyses. I always look forward to your comments! ^^ Anyway, I first started with answering the questions Rashmi left in reply to my comment last chapter. I won't put that here (maybe discord? lol), but I thought it was a good place to start. I answered all of them thoroughly and came to the conclusion that there was nothing wrong with how things played out. It wasn't a problem of being out of character, but bad writing. (Oof) By that, I mean there were things I assumed you would know, so I didn't write as detailed as I should have. I didn't convey it well enough. However, there was one question that got me: Why does Haru let Yuu do whatever he wants (presumably to her)? The first answer that came to mind was she was afraid to fight back. Then came the question of why she's afraid. Of course, we know he's a psycho who loves to dissect cute things. Who wouldn't be afraid as his target? But, then, playing into his hands is also bad, even if we have the safety net that Yuu won't dissect Haru until she says she is his. So then I had this question: What would happen if you reject Yuu once you're already on his route? His bad end, right? When I reached that point, I looked back at the beginning chapters where I wrote about their endings and came to the realization that I had never written Yuu's bad end. I never even made any notes about it. (That shocked me big time, no lie. Can't believe I totally overlooked that.) I think that's where my mistake lies. I never gave us a reason to fear disobeying or rejecting Yuu. Currently, only Haru knows. Not even I, the author, know. I just know and made him as someone to not be denied. As for other moments of dumbness on Haru's part, I want to believe they're all either not as dumb as some of you may think they are (due to bad writing on my part) or it's just Haru's naivety. Certainly, she's smart when it comes to yanderes and otome games, but not with other things. She's not socially inept but she's also not skilled either. She gets pressured easily as someone emotionally and mentally weak. She's easy to fluster and overwhelm. She's too kind and honest for her own good at times. Selfish yet selfless, you know? I'm not one to write out detailed descriptions of my characters (lol, what a writer I am), so I can only hope I convey her character through the story events and character interactions.
Anyway, I'll need to come up with Yuu's bad end and incorporate it into the story somehow, so we're all on the same page. Not sure how or when, but I will. I'll also work on making Haru more… competent? Er, careful? Stronger? Ugh, you'll get the idea when you see next chapter. I completely rewrote the beginning of it after this review and made things more blunt/aggressive. I'll try to make Haru and Yuu's interactions more that way. I think it's a fitting progression at this point. As for the story, I’m always writing up plot points and scenario ideas. The story started with an ending, and that hasn’t change so far. I’m just shoving more, uh, content in between. I don’t think I’m messing up with the other characters and their interactions much so far, but I’ll try to keep a look out for when I do. On another note, if you have any other questions or concerns about the characters or story that I can answer, ask away. I'll try my best to answer them.
Haru has done an amazing job honestly, the Yandere’s are kinda creepy (though I cannot help but love the fictional ones) 😒 personally I would not be sure what to do if I were in her situation. As for Yuu I always assumed there was a reason for why she was so scared of him I mean look how the chocolates turned out, she cannot remember a think creepy. I wonder who she will end up with and how you will develop her personality. I like Akira the most but I have a feeling maybe I shouldn’t I mean what if he is the reason for all this does he have any supernatural ability’s? Is he a stalker? How real is his personality, thanks to Yuu I just cannot seem to trust his performance. Also hope the dragon never finds out her gender because I could see him saying it does not matter now 😇. Thank you so much author I wonder what you will do next😆.
Thanks for the new chapter!! ^^ I had, admittedly, passed Ando off as a red herring when he didn’t get brought up again with much significance after his introduction T^^T. Nice to see him incorporated back in! But definitely unnerving to have it be in conjunction with a serial killer plot line aha- Once I’ve finished my work for this week I’ll need to read from the start again as a treat~ see if there’s anything else to espy in his first mention.
I am a massive fan of your story. I'm glad I could read it now before the day it became a hit anime; it will come I know. I applaud your decision to change the dynamic with Yuu. I agree he is creepy but he is still rather diminutive for a man. It's possible to fight back provided you don't let him drug you first. I can't wait for the serial killer angle to come into play. I'm rather surprised Haru doesn't know about this; suspension of disbelief but I would know if there were a series of murders at my school pretty quickly. I wonder if going forwar Haru just tries to cut ties completely with Yuu. You said you'll reveal what his bad ending is so I look forward to it.
