Came back to this after a couple of months and the new chapters of this war were really underwhelming and pathetic. So MC started this whole war killing thousands/millions of bystander humans just to kill a couple of useless underlings that could have been killed by appropriate ambushes (especially since he even has two other immortals to help)? I thought this whole war was to kill the main beast kings using that plate in someway or some similar scheme that hurt immortal kings on both sides. End result even for MC was so meager and pathetic given the long planning he did and so many useless chapters spent on the whole setup, including descriptions of the brutality of the beast kings and their subordinates on humans in vivid details. Of course, these xianxia authors think that these "ants" are meant only to die, so millions being killed due to some absurd reason is run of the mill. How these "ants" are still are alive in their worlds is still a great mystery and a great magic in its own right. But even ignoring all that, a war waged to scheme against a couple of useless underlings and killing few irrelevant "competitors" of his disciples engaged in a fair competition is really too much to take. Sigh, time to drop this one for good.
