Yes, freedom and democracy are definitely the 2 worst parts of western culture. i love this novel overall and frankly the “west” deserves plenty of criticism, but a bit sad to see this angle.

I'm interested in this setting, a lot of potential for politicians to be superheroes, billionaires and celebrities, if admiration is a weapon or tool then propaganda and media celebrity could impact power. Which can create a society of wealth based on reputation alone without as much affluence as long as you have the long reach of the media's arm to boost you.

I'm hoping the author would pull this off well hehe
